Pepper Steak

I made this tonight and LOVED it. It was so different from the tomatoey (so not a word) ones I make. I served it with corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. Easy to make. I did not take photos since it was the first time I ever made it. But we will for sure be making it again and I will take photos, promise.

Pepper Steak

2 lb. lean round steak
2 green peppers, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. dried onions (or fresh)
1 C beef broth
2 Tbsp. Sodium soy sauce (try the low sodium)
1/2 tsp. ground ginger (I did not use this)
1 clove garlic (I used 1 tsp garlic powder and a dash of garlic salt)
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Cut the steak into serving size pieces. If you want you can brown the meat in a small amount of hot oil before adding it to the crock pot. (I did not)

Place the sliced pepper rings in the bottom of the crock pot, reserving a few to place on top of meat.

Arrange the meat on top of the pepper. I had to stack the steaks a bit.

Mix all other ingredients and pour over the meat and peppers.

Cover and cook on low for 8 - 10 hours or on high for around 4 hours. I had to go in twice and flip the steaks just because they were on top of eachother.

Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables or rice.
