Dump Cake

Oh My Gosh!!! I am not a pie fan. I am certainly not a cherry pie fan. But The Pioneer Woman said this was good and she has not steered me wrong yet. So I made it and I LOVED it.

Not only was it the easiest dessert I have made since Instant Pudding, but it is the most yummy dessert I have EVER made. But we won't talk about the calories. Just know it is worth it.

Dump Cake
1 can cherry pie filling
1 can crushed pineapples
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick margarine
1/2 stick butter

Dump cherry pie filling into a 13x9 dish.
Dump pineapple into the same dish and mix well.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the top of the fruit.
Slice up the butter and margarine and distribute evenly over the cake mix.
Bake for 45 minutes to an hour at 350 degrees.

I do remember! I do! I am so glad you posted this Auntie. When I ate it it seemed very familiar to me. I think she also use to make a ymmy Pineapple Upside Down Cake or something. And then I vaguely recall some tiny chicken things that required a pound of sugar? I wish she were still around to teach me how to cook. I would kill for some of her home made spaghetti sauce. I make something similar, but it is never exactly like hers.
